Mary Emma Weinhold certificate of birth & baptism, 1876.

A birth and baptismal certificate printed by Currier & Ives, circa 1866-1872. The floral border includes roses, tulips, violets, and morning glories twining about wooden stems, creating frames for four verses of the hymn, Behold what condescending love, and two vignettes: A mother with two young childen and a lamb in a garden -- An angel embracing a young girl and gesturing upwards. The text reads: Record of birth & baptism unto these two parents: [Elias Weinhold] and his wife [Francis] a daughter of [Climsen Faustnacht?] was born a [daughter] on the [17th] day of [April] in the year of our Lord 18[75] This child was born in [East Cocalico Township] County of [Lancaster] State of [Penna.] was baptised by [Rev. S. Smeltzer July 6th 1876] and received the name of [Mary Emma] Witnesses: [The parents themselves].
